CAULDRON POTIONS COST MONEY

CAULDRON POTIONS COST MONEY

Details -

This is a tuning mod which overrides some resources so that the potions made with the cauldron cost simoleons.

 - Originally all the potions made with the cauldron cost zero simoleons so I added some price points to the potions based on their utility and the ingredients required.

- Comes in 5 versions - Regular price, 2x price, 3x price, 5x price and 10 x price

- Can be sold in retail stores with proper price increments

➤This mod works for newly created batches of potions. It does not apply price retroactively. So only the potions made after mod installation will show a price.

Potions - Retail Price in simoleons (higher priced versions - 2x, 3x, 5x, 10x)

1. Potion of Forced Friendship - 200 ( 400, 600, 1000, 2000)
2. Potion of Prompt Resurrection - 1000 (2000, 3000, 5000, 10000)

    1. You have to purchase tomes from caster's alley to learn the potions to be able to make them. here is a guide on learning spells and potions - https://simscommunity.info/2019/09/09/the-sims-4-realm-of-magic-all-about-spellcasters/

  4. Could the potions be sold on vendor tables? That one from City living. I sure prefere selling in the streets than a retail store. But thank you anyway for the awesome mod.

  8. Hi, thank you so much for this mod! Sadly it doesn't seem to work for me, I tried deleting all my other mods and CC, but I still can't get it to work. I've tried the normal version and the 2x.

  10. Ok so this mod does work but if you try to sell the potions you get NOT from a cauldron they will sell for $0. I think sims receive at least two potions while maybe studying tomes? Potions I made from a cauldron actually did sell, Emotional Stability sold for $150 something.

    1. Make sure to install only one version of the mod.

    2. I only installed the regular version of the mod. Not sure why it didn't work.

    3. Update: I was able tonfigure out why it wasnt working. Apparently EA added a feature to able or disable mods and I did not know about it. It is working now after enabling this feature!

  12. Una pregunta por favor. Este mod es compatible con uno que ha sacado srslysims, minor alchemy overhaul? Gracias

  13. Thank you! I always love your mods, they bring soooo much to the game that EA didn't think of or couldn't do. It works perfectly for me, but I also start a new game when it comes to tuning mods just to be safe.

  16. hi, i've been trying to install this mod but it keeps coming up with an error message saying that i don't have the appropriate app for it ? Wondered if you can tell me what i'm doing wrong?

    1. You do not have to unpack the mod!. Just drop it in your mods folder.

  17. I noticed that my spellcaster lost the ability to earn more talent points from practicing and experimenting after I installed this. Luckily it was on a test sim in a test game and not one of my main sims 0_0. Could this be a mod conflict? Other than that its great!

    1. Thats really weird! I just added a code of retail price to the recipe tuning...nothing to do whatsoever with earning points! Your sim can gain points without this mod/ in a vanilla game ?

      Delete
    2. I think this might actually be a conflict between this and another mod I have somehow. I tried a vanilla game with ONLY this mod installed and this worked just fine and the sim collected points like normal. I just haven't found the conflicting mod yet. 0_0

  18. Thanks for this mod! Would it be possible to make a version where it doesn't cost money to create the potions? My starving spellcaster is struggling to afford them XD

    1. The potions does not cost money per se but it does require ingredients. I can make the ingredients optional so that the spellcasters can make the potions even if they do not have the ingredients ( for a small flat fee).

  19. Heya! So I started toying with the mod, but I'm noticing that all of my potions are coming out with a quality of "poor" now. This causes some adverse reactions to the potions themselves. The prices remain the same, thankfully, but the quality is bad. This only started happening after using the regular version of your mod. It's the only one I've installed so far.

Cheers though! I'm really glad this mod is here until EA gets around to fixing the bug. :D I'm still going to be using it. Maybe downloading the mod again or using one of the higher priced versions will change the quality. I'll update or respond to the comment if it does!

    1. I finally started getting "normal" quality potions. All is well. Works best with the less expensive cauldron on home lot.

  20. So, I don't have any other game altering mods, but for some reason, my potions doesn't always get a proper price when created through the cauldron. It seems like 1/8 of the potions I make get a price, where the remaining just stays at 0. Any idea why this happens?
